Certain Guidelines to Drinking Shifty Drinks…
I would like to discuss the rules and/or laws about drinking drinks. Whose drink should we swig from? Is it safe? Who can we trust? I propose this question with the thought that one of my friends is now in the hospital because of an incident involving him drinking another persons drink. Keep in mind that I wasn’t at this function, so I really do not know what kind of drink it was, or if the unknown substance was laced with Ebola.
First of all, the proper and safe thing to do, is to never drink from an untrusted source. And reasoning that you have met them already – and have deemed them to be a top bloke – doesn’t negate from the fact that they may have an unworthy mouth – with germs and/or feces. Pre-cautions must be taken place before ever drinking from a source. You must first have a comprehension of their history, who they are and what do they do. Then you must share some form of event that enables you to bond – you will understand this moment of bonding when at that precise moment you think, “Hm, I should add him on top 20s on Myspace,” but don’t actually do so. This minor occurrences will give you a gauge on how risky or safe his/her mouth may be – because after all, drinking someone’s drink is like kissing them as well. Your drinking backwash or saliva alongside with the liquid substance in the glass. Another point to consider is the glass, is it safe? is is clean or dirty? where did you pick it up from? Questions like these should also gauge if the glass is safe to drink from or if it has the plague and your screwed.
The next level of drinking, is taking a swig from a person you trust. You can never guarantee complete safety if your drinking another persons drink, but just like sharing your soda with eight members of your family in the movie theater, you have the potential of possibly not getting anything- its a gamble. I vote that the rule for sharing drinks is for every one cup, you can only drink from two trusted sources (one being a family member or the one cup, two member rule doesn’t apply). That means, two people and yourself can drink off of one cup only if one of them is a family member. If one of them is not a family member then its only one cup for every one person.
Another rule to consider is the quality of the cup. DIXIE reds are usually good quality alcoholic drink cups and are the regulated size for maximum beer pong fun – for all you party goers out there. Wine glasses usually would constitute wine to be poured for consumption and normal glasses are usually miscellaneous, which are adequate for every other drink. So if you are in a party and see a wine glass with beer in it, it could be safe to consider that it may not be as trustworthy to drink from. What if there are no more glasses, and the wine glass is left? then the sharing rule should always be the guidelines if anyone is unsure of what to drink.
Overall, my friend just posted a bulletin – like he normally does – and rather than comment, I thought I would blog about it. I think this is a topic that grips the nations concerns and must be heard for the people.
