Land of the Lost Review

Tonight was the premier for Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell who plays Dr. Rick Marshall, Anna Friel as Holy Cantrell, Danny Mcbride as Will Stanton and Joma Tacone as Chaka. The night ended with laugh out loud humor, but the event didn’t start out that way. Before the movie started, everyone was attempting to find seats – that were not press members – and people were aggravated from the lack of seats to the ratio of the tickets given. It seemed that outside the theater, an old lady and a man, who was part of the press had some form of altercation that made the lady distraught. Once inside the theaters, the old lady proceeded to were the man was sitting and began to scream obscenities at him. Yelling and screaming from the top of her lungs she uttered to the man, “Don’t f*&*( tell me what to do…” To our surprise, there was mixed emotions from the crowd that was now forming. Some people clapped and cheered the lady on, and there were people who sided with the man because of how the old lady approached the situation – there were kids while obscenities where being thrown around. (America: Land of the Teller-Offers)
The beginning of the movie was filled the theater with laughter that seemed to generate from the crowd. Dr. Rick Marshall, is a has-been scientist that travels to a parallel universe accompanied by Holy Cantrell and Will Stanton. In this parallel universe, they meet a short-furry-monkey man called Chaka. Accompanied by the ape man, the three attempt to find a way back home. As they face many different comedic adventures and challenges, they learn more about themselves, they grow friendships, and mosquito bites. This movie is laugh out loud funny- if you are a fan of the Saturday Night Live feel of TV humor. The movie was rated PG, but judging from some of the language, sexual innuendoes, and attempted nudity in the last scene, it may not be good for kids under the age of 13 – but then again, society may dictate otherwise.
Happy Watching

I dont understand how some people can be so touchy… my friend and i went to see sweeney todd @ the rave theatre and we were down in front. When the changeover was happening for the next preview, I heard ” Get the F%%# off my seat” Long story short, a crazy lady in her mid 30′s was yelling at this old couple because they were “kicking her seat”
The part i did not understand is that the theatre was super empty for the size it was, and they were sitting all the way on the left side of the theatre… not the best choice for movie watching… middle is best, and thats where someone should’ve moved..

Middel area is definitely the best seating – which is another topic for later. There shouldn’t be any complaining if there are free seats.
Thanks for the comment.
